ITunes Library Issues?

Here's the issue. A couple months ago I was able to go into my iTunes library and manually add files to my Droid X device. My iPod broke and this is the next best thing. The music navigation is easier to use anyway. Problem is, when I bring up the folder with the library in it, it's just a web page with code on it. I think the last time iTunes updated they disable this feature. I'm going nuts. I have a physical backup of each song on my computer, but those are in iTunes only readable files, and labeled with random letters and numbers. What's utterly ridiculous is 95% of the music is from actual CDs that were ripped to the computer and bought from Amazon.com. I WANT MY MUSIC BACK! Do I have to convert every file to a different file format? Or what? I'm lost. Your help would be greatly appreciated guys.
