Is the a good depressing story?

It could be depressing, but it's not good. There are too many things that make no sense, why is there a criminal investigation into a suicide? Why do finger prints automatically make him guilty? Why is the letter suddenly readable? They only shared an uneasy glance? If they are going to pit someone to death they better have a hell of a lot more than finger prints to prove it.
